Poetry
this year dawns with surprising sunrise,
beauty surrounds my world this morning,
as my dream for tomorrow silently cries.
Faith is not a thing I can see or touch,
with inner feelings fortuitously reaching,
it binds my being as a hand knit sweater,
its song to my soul is forever teaching.
Touch is felt by my outstretched fingers,
faith is felt by a spirit within,
whereas my senses can lead me astray,
belief in my God leads away from sin.
Fingers of faith feel the hand of God,
sure as the wind and pure as a dove,
to guide the way for uncertain tomorrows,
full of His grace from Heaven above.
