Why do we love this life?

All you leave is strife.

We're so selfish
   we mourn for ourselves.
In Spirit so impish
   we forget our Help.

   no beauty to leave behind.
Throw life asunder
   for the only One so kind.

Leaving the body,
   alive unto Him.
Leaving vanity,
   things born of sin.

We're so selfish
   we run for our lives.
We're so helpless

Written as I recall my ex-fiance who just passed away this Thanksgiving. Please pray for her family, especially her 22 year-old daughter who was very close to her.
