The Holy Spirit and You.
You were made in the Class of God.All animals were created after their kind,but man was created after the Image and Likeness of God.Even the angels do not have the opportunity to share in the Inheritance which we have received.When Our Lord Jesus was bodily represented on earth he said 'And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.He said he would abide with you forever'.To abide here means to tarry,dwell, stay,meaning the same Spirit that created the earth, the same Spirit that brought Jesus back from the dead dwells in you.Though Jesus Christ is the Greatest Gift that God the Father could give mankind yet Jesus Christ introduced someone else just equal to himself however he would dwell in us bringing us to conformity with the plans and purpose of God.One thing the Holy Ghost does in you is to make the Presence of Jesus real in and around you.Can you imagine what Life would have been without the Holy Spirit?.For instance if i were reading the scriptures like that Ethiopian Eunuch and didnt understand,it means i'd have to travel to Jerusalem to meet Jesus and we all know that it would have been difficult,because multitudes followed him everywhere.Today there are over 1 billion Christians imagine we all having one issue or another and needing to see Jesus.He would have been so busy and many lives wouldnt be touched.However he said,it is expedient for you that i go,if i do not go i cannot send the Comforter to you.Its awesome to know that the Spirit of Christ can dwell in us.Infact what qualifies or validates your Christian faith is not your attendance in your church or your involvement with Sunday School but the Presence of His Spirit within,for if any man have not the Spirit of Christ he is none of his.THe Holy Spirit is right there with you in that situation,he knows exactly how you feel,he speaks too,he knows everything about you even long before you were born.Be Filled with the Spirit.
THe charge today is to see that the Holy Spirit is our guide,our shepherd for this age,he's more desirous to fill you up.Invite Him just as you invited Jesus Christ into your life.He's Here.
Central Truth:Jesus Christ said without Him you can do nothing,in the same vein without the Spirit of Christ we cannot operate in the Class of God.
