Like Holding A Miniature Garden

To my husband:
I was thinking today of how bouquets of flowers are made, and then of the smaller, old-fashioned nosegay...and it made me think of our love, for we fashion one of those each day.

They are small, small enough to hold in your hand, like holding a miniature garden, that you can look at, touch and smell the wonderful fragrance.

Loving each other is made up of all the small things, things no one else would even notice, but we see them all with the eyes of love.... we can pick lily of the valley...so it's little bell-blossoms can ring for joy at the love we feel...the small violet, with it's perfect petals in the most lovely shades of purple...they are like the gentle words and caring touches we give one another each day.

We can add tiny ferns with all their feathery branches...like the many moments of laughter and fun we have...and baby's breath.... with it's miniature white flowers, so many to each branch.... like all the kisses and hugs we have for each other every day...and we gather them all up and wrap a silk ribbon of love around the stems, tying them together like a present...and we give it to one another...for the ribbon won't fade.... as our love stays bright and beautiful.

The flowers won't dry up and die, for all the small things that make up our love have enduring life because they are renewed each day with His grace...and the gift will always be the most perfect one...since we are giving each other ourselves.

Trish, I have decided that your husband must be heady with pride for you, his precious love, and for joy of being chosen as your lifetime
partner. You are a beautiful writer and have been blessed with a special ability to express your love, and then share it with all who enter this world of FaithWriters. God Bless.
