How did I get here?
Loving Him since a child
Yet here I stand
Waiting for the ax to fall.

Buried in guilt
Clothed in anxiety
Feeling transparent
Clutching the coverings around me.

This python squeezes all life from me
Pleasure escapes me
Guilt my covering
Exposure my fear.

"Where can I go from your Sprit? Where can I flee from your presence?" (Psalm 139:7 NIV)

Weighed down
Deserving nothing good
Chains holding me to the past
Blocking the future.

Holding my head high
Struggling to look confident
Yet fearing one glance
Piercing my armor.

"There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known." (Luke 12:2 NIV)

Hypocrite!
My leadership mocks me
Parental role heavy
Disgust my daily food.

"Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness." (Luke 11:39 NIV)

Depression blankets my world
Clouds of anxiety hover
Dread dulls my mind like fog
Bleakness my future.


"For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me." ( Psalm 51:3, 10-12 NIV)







Matthew 18:12-13

If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off.
