How do you respond every time you hear the truth that Jesus is the Son of God? Is it something you have heard countless times before? Did these words once fill with you great joy, but have lost meaning for you over time? Would it even make a difference to your life right now if you didn't know this truth?

Too often we take this fact about Jesus for granted without considering how it applies to our lives and the way in which we should respond to Him. We need to value the importance of the Son of God in each of our lives. Jesus is more than simply another good person or teacher. Peter, and brothers James and John realized Jesus’s true identity when they witnessed His transfiguration on the mountain. They were in such awe of Jesus that they fell face down to the ground. Do you feel the same sense of awe and admiration for the Son of God?

Surely this truth should fill us with the desire to respond to Jesus in praise and worship. Not only did He work great miracles during His ministry on Earth, but He shares in the divine nature of God! (Colossians 1:15-16) He was willing to die on the cross so we could have peace with God. (Romans 5:1) This amazing love should fill each of our hearts with thanksgiving. The Bible also tells us that Jesus is seated with our Father in heaven with all powers and authorities subjected to Him. (1 Peter 3:22) Surely such a position demands our greatest respect and attention. No longer should we remain indifferent to the truth of the Son of God, but we should seek to offer up our lives daily as sacrifices to His glory.
