A friend stopped by for a visit today.
Wanted to make sure that I was okay.
I nodded and handed over a picture so dear,
I am just fine, there is nothing more clear.
Sit right down and listen real close.
These smiles you see are not like most.
Because with every sad and trying day,
All I need is this picture to take it away.
Each face you see there is an angel to me.
When I wake in the morning they are all I need.
Never matters to them how far away they are,
They send their heart’s love from near and far.
So trust me when I tell you this,
These children here are my heavenly wish.
God has sent them and I truly believe,
They are the keepers of my heart’s only key.
Those voices can light up my darkest day,
Whenever they call and say they are on their way.
Each one tells me their own special thing,
They love me so much, such joy they do bring.
Nothing can replace them on this earth so far,
My grand-children are framed within my heart.
