People just seem to walk right on by
Friends don't even care to ask me why
Family look past and ignore the silence they see
Even that trusted church has now rejected me.

I understand time is important and time is their own
And its okay, I suppose, to always be alone.
With endless betrayal, I now lock my pain deep inside
A hard lesson learned, in others I cannot confide.

Not looking for self pity, its a sad hesitation
And definitely don't want someone's false obligation
I'm not an actor and I don't hold an Emmy
My feelings sometimes show the sadness within me.

Ever notice that people ignore those they know well
Even when there is hurt that you just can't tell
There is no excuse because at times the pain
Slips through the wall and pours out like rain.

Watch in how you treat others, you just never know
They could be from God, or could be their time to go
And then its too late and you can't take away
Because time wasn't taken to be kind to them that day.

What would you do if someone you know passed on
Would you have regrets of something done or said wrong
Maybe cruel words or was it just no words at all
Before its too late you should give them a caring call.

At times when we must watch the words that we say
And careful watch over actions to fulfill God's way
Christians should never ignore someone sad and alone
God just might be testing your true heart and soul.
