What tempest doth the sinner make
tossed about by the devil's lore?
Wretched am I from the law of sin
the Lord's grace keeps me from aching more.
I gasp beneath blood curdling cries
My Lord Jesus at Calvary stained.
The spotless Lamb full atonement made
My sins remitted, pardon obtained.
