Six years ago, I remember having an intense conversation with someone about my goals and dreams. After revealing my dreams, the person told me that I missed the opportunity to fulfill them. In her eyes, I had plenty of time ‘back in the day’, but somehow I had missed the boat. I tried defending myself by saying, “Just because my dreams haven’t come to past yet doesn't mean they won’t come true in the future.”

The woman smirked and said, “Just give them up – it’s not going to happen!”

My dreams were like a garden in a desert just waiting for spring rain showers. I did everything I was supposed to do as a Christian. I prayed often and I had faith in God that He would direct my path. However, I still couldn't find my niche in life. I desperately wanted my dreams to come true, but I wasn't sure what path to take in order to fulfill them.

What are you supposed to do when God gives you a dream and you’re not sure how to make it come true? I've learned that He can help you make them come true. All you have to do is ask for his guidance and He will lead you in the right direction.

Never Give Up on Your Dreams!

After this woman nearly shattered my dreams, she told me to give them up and settle for a regular ‘Just Over Broke’ (Job) – even if it wasn't associated with my gift. I am a strong believer that God has given us unique gifts for a reason. I also believe that it’s meant for us to use our gift as a way to make a good living – whether it’s a job where you can utilize your gift or a business opportunity.

If God has given you a dream about creating an invention, why settle for a career or business opportunity that you absolutely despise. Why not ask God to help you fulfill the dream that He has already given you? God has done this for many people. All we have to do is ask Him for help. He will provide everything we need to fulfill our dreams.

Ignore Negative Talk

One night God gave me a dream about writing a book. I wasn't 100 percent sure how to start writing the book, so I asked him for pointers. Little by little, God began to give me hints on how to write the book. He even led me on who to contact to create the book cover design.

Imagine if I ignored God’s dream and listened to negative advice from other people. What if I ignored God and applied for a dead-end job? I would have never written the book.

The point here is …when God gives you a dream, you don’t have to settle for second best. God desires us all to have the best in life.

Sometimes you have to take the bull by the horns and blot out all of the negative information people try to download into your heart and trust God for yourself.

Your Dreams Can & Will Come True

I didn't realize it at the time, the only thing I needed to do was talk to God about my goals and aspirations (nobody else). After all, He’s the manufacturer of dreams.
I am a strong believer that every single human being is born with a purpose. Unfortunately, not everyone is encouraging when it comes to fulfilling your purpose.

Years later, my season of drought was completely over. The day that God revealed my purpose, it felt like the sun and rain showers came over me and I began to flourish. He will not only reveal to you what you’re supposed to do with your life (i.e. business, career, ministry, etc.) He can give you step-by-step directions on how to make your dreams come true.
