The Violet Robe adorns the One
Bruised, derided and defiled
Blood streams onto the cloak
The crowning thorn pours from above.

The Violet Robe a sign so royal
Befitting to a King or prince
The purple shade so deep and true
In line with passion and memorial.

The Violet Robe covers the One
To save the world from strife and sin
To bear the weight of the heavy cross
All the way to the mount of Calvary.

The Violet Robe a message sends
The Emmanuel heart with love intense
Too good to be given death on a cross
Nailed and pierced, numbered to the bones.

The Violet Robe a color to the veil
The shroud to be lifted at last in time
The High Priest to enter the holy place
A sprinkling with blood of His own.

The Violet Robe a testimony in truth
To the Highly exalted one on the tree
The King of priests and prophets alike
Forever the Royal Priest of heaven and earth.
