Revelation 22
Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.....

What a blessing to know that our Father is COMING!! As I face new struggles each day I hold on to this promise, that someday my reward will be known. That all the worldly sacrifices that I have made (IN HIS NAME) shall be no more! And I shall lay my crowns at His feet. What an image this creates in my mind. No more will we worry about what we will eat, where we will live, what we will wear, no more doctor visits, no more sickness no more death. How excited I become and how fast my problems seem to become so small, how I know I shall be called as one of His righteous children.

Many are the sufferings of the righteous BUT the Lord shall deliverth him out of them all!!! I have known this verse for many years even knew that God would soon deliver me out of my sufferings. As I prayed and believed weeks turned into months and months into over a year since our desperate struggles have began. I wish I could say that my faith was not shaken, because it was greatly. We had lost our home, job and were facing foreclosure on our land, repossessions of our vehicles, power turn offs, insurance cancellations, and the list seems endless. My feelings were hurt! All the people we had given to so freely seemed to stop calling us. Seemed that if we could not provide financially for them, they had no use for us. They did not write and ask how we are doing, they did not call, but through this all God has blessed me with the knowledge that our just reward is with Him!! And YES someday we will lay those glorious crowns at His feet. I had began to place value on people and the world, believing that they would offer us help, surely someone else would give as we had done, right? I had forgotten the important lesson learned earlier on. That when we gave it was out of OBEDIENCE to God, NOT man. I am only responsible for my obedience and not others. Guilt and shame set in next. This was the hardest to face. The bill collectors that called became unbearable; the credit we had established was gone. I felt as though I had let down my family, God and myself. I had let God down only because I had placed my trust in this world and not in Him. Yes, He does use people in this world to bless us and help us, BUT He never intended them to replace Him, only to be an extension of His love.

Do I still face struggles, you bet. We are turning a vehicle back in this weekend, and our insurance is set to be canceled, land is in foreclosure... BUT we know that the Lord shall supply our needs! Somehow we will have food to eat, closes to wear and a vehicle to take the children to school. (We have no buses up here) I no longer place my hopes in people only in Gods control over our lives and theirs. Do we still give? Yes of course. We still tithe and give of our time; we still Praise God everyday of the week and sit in His House of Worship on Sunday. We have peace within ourselves.. Peace knowing that what we are facing is not from disobedience from us. We are thankful for the grace He gives us to forgive those who look at our lives and say how we must be living wrong... or why would things be happening to us? I pray that I never become so calloused that when I look at another who is suffering I don’t pray to God to show me any way I may be an extension of His love, not the worlds accuser.


Father how I thank You for the friends you have placed in our lives, for the people we have been able to give to out of obedience. May our hearts always have peace, may our words and deeds reflect Your love. I ask that You forgive me for any guilt I have felt in the past, for any doubt I have placed in You. I am blessed to know You! To know Your promises for our lives, that we shall all be rebuilt! I praise You for Your love, Your grace, and Your mercy and for Your Perfect Precious Son.... In the Perfect Name of Christ I pray, AMEN
