Christian Living
In this world full of hatred and strife, my heart clings to its dangerous ways.
You get no love from me is an everyday message people use.
So, God, I call upon your name to save my heart from destruction.
Evil lurks all around me and there’s no love to be found.
How can I go on like this, unless I make this request known unto you?
“Teach Me How to Love”
For you are a God of love and in you is where love resides.
No matter what we do or what we say, you still love us through it all.
Your love has shielded us from the snares of the enemy.
When I should have been killed, your love saved me.
When I should have been consumed by my problems, your love protected me.
When my worries surrounded me, your love gave me peace.
When I sinned against you, your love forgave me.
So I owe it to you, God, to love my neighbor as you have loved me.
I can’t claim to love you and not love the one I see every day.
I can’t say my love for you is strong and I don’t give to others.
So teach me how to love.
When my mother and father forsake me, teach me how to love.
When my family turns their backs on me, teach me how to love.
When my friends stab me in my back, teach me how to love.
When my partner disrespect me, teach me how to love.
When my children try my patience, teach me how to love.
When my boss threatens me, teach me how to love.
When my co-workers talk about me, teach me how to love.
When the church rejects me, teach me how to love.
When Christians try to condemn me, teach me how to love.
When saints plot against me, teach me how to love.
When the world doesn’t understand me, teach me how to love.
When the government endangers my life, teach me how to love.
When crooked cops pull me over for a bonus, teach me how to love.
When the justice system is trying to take my freedom, teach me how to love.
When it’s the darkest hour in my life, teach me how to love.
When my love is fading and there’s no peace in sight, teach me how to love.
For love conquers all.
There is no battle love cannot win.
No storm love cannot cease.
No fear love cannot calm.
No situation love cannot change.
No tongue love cannot tame.
No heart love cannot fill.
No lesson love cannot teach.
Any destiny love cannot fulfill.
I beg you, Father, to show me your love and teach me how to love others like you have loved me.

Since I am instructor for Bible Studies for prisoners, which are all done by mail, your article reminds me of something that prisoners could really appreciate. It may be a blessing to many others too. I observed one error, but I cannot think of what it is. You can probably find it.
