Poetry
I come to You in silence,
No words to
soften the blow.
No long confession
of times and places.
I don’t defend my lifestyle
or explain the choices I have made,
I don’t hide behind
excuses.
I blame no one
for the way things have turned out.
My silence lets You think
the worst of me,
and doesn’t ask
You think the best.
I simply come
Do what You must.
Feel my tears on Your feet
and the softness of my hair,
inhale a finer fragrance
than my life can produce.
See my heart
uncovered.
