Faith

I wonder as I fall asleep
When I awake will your face I see
Will I see the birds in nearby trees
Greeting the morn with sweet melodies

As I look upward will I see clear blue skies
Or soft billowy clouds drifting byOr colorful wings of the butterflies
As they rest on the flowers in the field nearby

Will I look for the faces of those I hold dear
And only the darkness of shadows appear
Will my faith remain strong or give way to fear
Should I awake my vision no longer clear

Lord help me remember should my sight be gone
There are many others I'm not alone
Help me Lord to put my faith in thee
Knowing that always you are here with me

You promised forever you'd be by my side
My feelings from you I don't have to hide
For all the others facing these same fears
Precious Lord just hold them near,as you calm their fears
