The Lord our God,
He is good ;
His mercy endures
forever.

Because He is good,
He made known to
A seventeen-years-old
Evil reporter, Joseph,

He made known to him,
The purpose of his birth:
To preserve a generation.

The Lord our God,
He is good and
His mercy endures forever!

Because He is good,
He allowed Joseph to go
Into the pit for an excursion,
To show His power
To deliver.

Because He is good,
Joseph was sold away
At a price of twenty shekels of silver.

He was sold,
Away!
From his native land.
Away!
From his country.
Away!
From his family.
Away!
From his father's house;
Where the members are enemies-
To a land of promise.

The Lord our God,
He is good and
His mercy endures
forever.

Because He is good,
He allowed the dreamer
To be sold again to
Potiphar, an officer of
king Pharaoh;
That He might show
His presence
That makes a difference.

Because He is good,
He was freely sent
to prison,
No cost, no cause, no offence.
No sin, no crime.
That the Lord might show
He alone is the One
Joseph needs,anytime,
Any day,any where.

The Lord our God,
He is good and
His mercy endures forever.

Because He is good,
He adds gifts to gifts
Anytime,anyday,anymhere!
A dreamer of dreams
Becomes an interpreter,
Interpreter of dreams.
For himself and others!

Because our God is good,
He allowed the sinless prisoner
To use his gift for co-prisoners:
The Baker and the Butler.
Both dream and their
interpretation are as
Joseph gives them.

Because our God is good,
Joseph is forgortten Forgotten by the Baker;
Who ought to recommend him
To Pharaoh for freedom.
To prove that He never gives
His glory with anyone
Nor shares it with anybody.

The Lord our God,
He is good and
His mercy endures forever.

Finally, because He is good,
The best phase begins.
The Lord remembers
The righteous in prison,


The Baker recommeds,
He recommends Joseph
When his service is most needed.

His gift brings him before the king:
He is quickly taken out
of the dungeon;
He is shaven,
His garment changed,

He gloriously enters the palace
Never to come out.
He becomes 'father to
King Pharaoh'!

Our God is good,
His mercy endures
forever.

Your present plight,
Pit,Potipha's house or
Peoples' prison of the eyes.

Hot and painful,
Great and grievious,
Is not to break you
But to build you up,
Pusosely for His glory.

Endure until the end.
The time is already far
spent,
You are nearer than
ever
To your land and time of glory.

Do not complain,
only believe!
Do not murmur,
only trust!
Do not grumble,
double your faith!
Do not doubt God's
goodness,
The end will speak for
itself;
That:
The Lord our God,
He is good and
His mercy endures
forever!
