He will always be the first
Of my closest Friends:
The One Who reigns on High -
My cherished Friend here on Earth
I die for Him each day
As He did for all at Calvary;
I�d gladly give my life for Him
As He did so selflessly
My Lord is my True Friend
And in so calling Him
I have been subject to -
Warfare and fleshly sin
I am a child of God
And cling to Him in great faith -
To the promise of our Lord
Who died for us with such Grace
For the heart of a True Friend
Who loves all heart, mind and soul
Is to give and offer hope
Of salvation forevermore
He is the True example
Of what a Friend looks like
And the sacrifice He gave
To save His best friend�s life�
My Friend has a Great Name:
JESUS CHRIST - who died for us�
Our sins past, present, future
Were conquered upon the Cross

This is so lovely. Many don't think about Jesus as being a friend but your beautiful words and the emotion behind them would convince some of those doubters. I've missed reading your poems in the challenge. You always have just the right message.
