Many people don't have any dreams or goals
their satisfied the way they are
If they don't want, they say you can't have
and want to cast yours afar

Here is another way to put these words
don't want you to have it, and I will stop you"
And use that little excuse, that I'm content
until God shows you, something new

They don't know it's the Devil that's talking
he doesn't care if you stay poor
He will use the scriptures to support his lies
just to try to shut your door

He knew the word of God from the beginning
and the promise's that God spoke of
Now here he comes with those negative thoughts
to make us doubt the word from above

You can have what you say, "It's in your right"
let others have a right to claim more
If your hearts satisfied, of one bedroom house
be happy, and go on and keep your door

Don't give out what, you don't understand
but ask God to help you see
For if your heart is right, rather rich or poor
you still can be what you want to be

If you think that having, will cost your soul
then rid of, that fine car and boat
Throw out the VCR, TV, and your telephone
then go, and buy yourself a billygoat

Some think being without, is a way of holiness
and it makes them right with God
But go and check it out, his word is balanced
and is given for each one to decide

Why would God's word, speak of, prosperity
for it takes money to pay your bills
Yes we must live by faith, and that's for sure
but didn't he say, that he owns the hills

Now one may believe God can save and heal
another beleive they can prosper too
And it is surly written, you can have it all
and he left it up, to me and you
