I WANNA KNOW HIM

I wanna know the God of This Book,(hold up your Bible)
Lest I never be granted another look,
That my mind would still see Him, my heart might still view,
And my spiritual vision would picture Him anew.

I wanna know The God of The Word,
For what if for some reason, I never again heard.
I'd wanna remember who made it become clear,
So if He spoke to me, I'd openly give Him my ear.

I wanna know The God, The Word talks about,
For what if my tongue where suddenly cut out.
I'd like to tell through all that I do,
Dear God, that it's truly been worth it to have served You.

I wanna know The Christ that God sent,
So if I came to the end and my life be all spent.
I could look back with joy through all of my days,
And shout with a confidence, I gave Him the praise.

I wanna know The Christ The Word made so real,
Were it possible I lost every desire to feel.
That I'd ever love Him, just as much,
And my heart would always be sensitive to His Touch.
