A WARNING IGNORED

How spectacular you are oh Freedom Tower.
With grand splendor you are richly adorn
Built as a statement from destruction torn
A new symbol of America’s great power.

A large twenty ton hewn cornerstone
Made of granite for a better foundation
We won’t be beat America’s confirmation
A warning of judgment to us unknown.

A message from a prophet long ago
To the people Israel he gave warning
Pay attention to the words they’re alarming
Similar to the prophesy these words show.

Turn to the bible for a mystery revealed
Isaiah chapter nine verses ten to see
It’s a statement of defiance, it’s the key
Though you strike at us, we will rebuild.

As with the time of time of old it goes
When God tries to get our attention
We ignore him and attend to our ascension
Our hearts no longer belong to him it shows.

“The bricks have fallen down, but we will
Rebuild with hewn stone” instead of clay
As organizers used these words that day
In defiance we stand open to new peril.

When will we turn our hearts and mind
To the one that gave us all our freedom?
There is a time he will bring his kingdom
For many, America will be in a bind.
