MARY’S LIFE

What a joyful day it was so long ago
You were going to have a baby boy
A mystery without having a husband
An Angel came and told you so.

Mary there’s only room left in the stable
The time for you to give birth now here
No room anywhere not even in the inn
There you can give birth if you’re able.

Great excitement with gifts bore
To raise a child and so special
A child like no other we agree
Your baby from above to adore.

A full grown man to go draw a line
To call followers to teach and lead
Religious leaders he made angry
For you, turned water into wine.

To him arrested to come testify
They accused him of blasphemy
Didn’t like “I am son of man”
To the cross you go, we crucify.

Mary if you only knew God’s plan
From such joy to a heart of misery
How could this happen to you so pure?
God had a better plan we are sure.
