Taken from Acts Chapter 3
THE LAME MAN

Long ago it was written about a lame man
He was born that way, from birth it began
Carried and laid daily at the temple gate
Begged alms to eat, stayed until late.

Along came Peter and John the Apostles
Going to Temple to read Jewish chronicles
The lame man asked them to help with alms
Have no alms but carried the Book of Psalms.

Peter looked on him with Apostle John
We have something better to act on
Cause silver and gold we have none
But what we have will make you run.

In the name of Jesus rise up he said
Time to roll up that old sitting bed
You are healed so get up and walk
He leaped up people began to gawk.

The people were filled with amazement
They praised God for His wonderment
We too today can still receive healing
Just employ your faith with feeling.

God is the same yesterday, today and forever
He can help us with our affliction whatever
Our God is an awesome healer with power
Now is the time, now is your hour.
