This is my mini challenge entry. Okay, so I didn't know what a homonym was until this contest, but here goes!

Homonyms for Jesus

The tomb of Jesus is an empty site
Where His body was placed and disappeared from sight
His friends asked where? But no one could cite
He ascending to heaven for three days and nights

He came and died without a red cent
He rose as flowers bloomed a sweet scent
Disciples without question, He was God sent
He appeared to His friends till His time was spent

From the soldiers of Caesar there came no last rite
For the one without sin who taught wrong from right
His apostles sang gospels, in words they did write
Of the Son of God who reigned in their sight
