AN UNKNOWN MAN

Once there was a lone man on mission
He had a book that he had to deliver
A one of a kind a special addition
He crossed land and many a river.

This book was like no other book on earth
All other books of its kind were destroyed
More valuable than gold was its worth
Evil men wanted it to become overjoyed.

It was a time after a time that this happened
Not much was left life had to start over
It was more than the world had bargained
No grass, trees, plants not even clover.

It was believed the book to have great power
All the others were burned after the war
A great war between three superpowers
All world governments are no more.

The book he sought was what he needed
Under the control of a very evil man
Up until now his plan had succeeded
His influence no one could withstand.

The lone man a prophet they thought
Spoke like no other man ever could
Only wisdom is what the man sought
Shared the knowledge as he should.


With this book the strange man went unharmed
Protected by the one who told him where to go
By a supernatural grace he was adorned
Go to a place I lead you the voice said so.


The evil man wouldn’t stop his pursuit
His life he was willing to give up for it
He tried to ambush every route
Killing the prophet he would commit.

Power and control was the evil man’s plan
Life and death of others he wanted to control
His kind was hell bound such an evil man
Heart blacker than black a heart of coal.

In the end the book didn’t have any real power
The pages blank, the words hidden in man’s heart
By faith are God’s word given us to empower
Believe in him and salvation he will impart.

This was no man or prophet but an angel of God
A messenger looking to find the right place for the book
A place a people who believed and would be awed.
So on God’s command far away the book he took.
