NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:38-39;


The only way to secure your territory is to advance! Believers are not called to maintain or defend their territories but to launch out and advance against all oppositions until all territories are taken over for the Lord. The reason evil is gaining ground in our world is because believers have retreated to take the back seats without taking effective steps to change the situations; as long as light refuses to shine, darkness does not need to struggle to take over! God’s earnest desire is for us to experience kingdom of heaven here on earth which is the reason why the Lord Jesus taught us to pray ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is done in heaven’. If we truly desire kingdom of heaven in our lives, marriages, homes, communities, nations and indeed the whole world, the strict responsibility lies on us to pray, advance and take all the necessary steps to bring it into existence, we must never sit back or retreat!


It is painful that many do not realize how much damage they do to themselves when they draw back and give up. It is absolutely certain that Jesus Christ had triumphed and completely won victory for those of us who have accepted Him as our personal Lord and Saviour; however, if we refuse to take our stand and enforce the victory that had been won for us, we may not be able to experience or live victorious life intended for us by God. Like a watchman, we are all required to be on our guard until the beautiful plans of God for our lives come into reality. The scripture in Isaiah 62:6-7; says ‘I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth’. God has declared that He wants to make us ‘a praise in the earth’ we must therefore see beyond our present situations and advance with prayers, intercessions and steps of faith until we enter into that glorious experience. This is not the time to retreat or concede our inheritances to the enemies.


As a result of deferred hope, it is not unlikely that your heart has become weary and you are considering accepting fate; it is important you realize however that giving up on God now is not the best option for you, it will only make you a loser considering the years you have spent waiting on Him. It is dangerous to lose focus in the middle of the road, it is even more dangerous to retreat in the middle of the battle because the Lord has clearly declared that anyone who draws back is retreating into perdition! Truth is that the distance between you and your breakthrough cannot be compared with the distance you had already covered, the Lord’s assuring word to you according to Habakkuk 2:2-3; ‘And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry’. If you have waited till now, why not wait still on God till He brings you to the glorious end He promised to give you.

To advance and enforce God’s kingdom in our worlds, one major weapon we must never fail to carry on is the shield of faith. Faith is a very powerful force that rules the heaven and earth, there’s nothing faith cannot achieve! With all that is happening around us today, the main focus of the enemies is to make our hearts fail and puncture our trust in God; we must however never allow anything to affect our faith. In the face of oppositions and contrary winds, faith is the only force that can empower us to advance. A believer becomes bankrupt when his or faith is punctured! It is for this reason we must be on our feet and advance no matter the situation for this is the only time heaven can back us up. This is not the time to give up or accept defeat; it is time to move on! Have you fallen before? Please don’t stay down; have you been wounded one way or the other? The balm of Gilead is available for your healing; Have you been discouraged and have given up? Be encouraged in the Lord, arise, join the race and advance for victory is nigh! NO RETREAT, NO SURRENDER!
