Balloon Evangelism
Helium filled balloons dotted the sky above a small community church in Central Illinois as children let go of their balloons, each with a scripture verse printed on a card. On the card was also an address, to return card to, if found. This has become a VBS tradition as the children launch their evangelical balloons each year. Replies have come back from as far away as neighboring Indiana where a farmer found one in his field. What a great way for children to be involved in spreading God’s Word.
Isa 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
