Do you feel the same way as I do
Every morning when I wait in anticipation
For the conversation between hearts in full gusto
Do you sense the same eagerness and joy?

Do you feel the same way as I do
When a bird flies over in graceful flight
Perceive it as a carrier and sign of love
Do you sense the same thrill and gladness?

Do you feel the same way as I do
In the middle of a long and busy day
Desire for a fulfilling eye filled heart glance
Do you feel my presence besides you?

Do you feel the same way as I do
When in the toss and turn at night fall
An awareness that you are awake with me
Do you sense the heart watch in place at that time?

Do you feel the same way as I do
The emptiness and longing when far away
The dryness in the air all around, a stillness of sorts
Does your mind recap the highlights ere shared ?

If you feel the same way as I do
These are a once in a lifetime feelings shared
When hearts connect with a special bond
Even in the face of destiny
The hearts silently hold the joining thread.
