My first love
My only true love
What is inside me was yours to give, and you gave it freely
For I knew not of it before you
Nor is it possible without you
Time can boast no embrace on the Light
Moments erode until their final absence
But Love is presence without end
How can I ever see another?
Your breath flows through me as an unwearied river
Breaking down the aching dams that have confined me
Quenching my thirst with tranquility
Ending the scorch of captivity
I was encapsulated without purpose; without station
Incarcerated to an unforeseeable end
Confined by the palpable wants of this nature
The unrest of my soul
but now

Serenity has been more than met in me
I have reached farther than I could ever imagine
I have become further than my dream
Until the sense of me has dulled
Diluted within a sea of purifying fire
What remains of life is only you
For outside of you is nothing more
Can there exist greater than Life?
Could I ever need more than Love?

Remnant of a forever promise fulfill your oath
For without it I dare not stand
My only choice has been my last prepared
The author of my salvation
And my only truth
Forever you will be
My first love
