Is My All On The Altar

This morning God woke me up at 6:30 a.m. again. He said “Margery I gave my all to mankind”. He said “I loved my Creation so that I gave it my all, I gave all of me”. For God so loved His Creation that He gave his all for it; Himself, His Word, and His Spirit. The inheritance He gave was spread abroad to all men, how much more us?

Job 37:1-7 at this also my heart trembles and is moved out of his place. Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth. He directs it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. After it a voice roars; he thunders with the voice of his excellency and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. God thunders marvelously with his voice, great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. For he says to the snow, be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. He seals up the hand of every man that all men may know his work.

God is to be feared. How can we say we love Him and not be willing to give up all for Him? God’s ways are just and we hinder his blessings from coming to us with our ways. Our ways are not his ways nor out thoughts his thoughts. We are to speak on God’s behalf the Word. When we speak the Word we get knowledge from him and ascribe righteousness from our Creator. God is not a liar so our words we speak must be perfect in knowledge with God. God is mighty and despise not any man. He is mighty in strength and wisdom. He preserves not the life of the wicked but gives them the choice to choose right over wrong. God withdraws not his eyes from the righteous. He establishes Kings and put them on the throne that they are exalted but they too must accept Him.

Will we suffer afflictions? Yes. Will we be bound up at times? Yes. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but God deliver us out of all of them. God shows us our works and transgressions that we have exceeded in. He opens our ears to discipline and commands us to return to him and away from our iniquity. God wants us to obey and serve Him. If we turn away from sin and do God’s bidding we shall live in prosperity all of our days. To prosper means we are rich in the Word and have all of our needs met. If we obey and serve God we will spend our days in prosperity and our years in pleasure. It is a pleasure to serve God and at our best is God’s least. Aside from this call is always; other alternatives on the other side of the coin. On the other hand if we do not obey we shall perish by the sword and die without knowledge. The hypocrites in heart heap up wrath and cry not when God binds them up. They die in their youth and their life is among the unclean. Look around us today; the youth don’t want us to tell them nothing. It’s call doing me! Well many of the older folks are doing me too. But when we will come low in heart God will deliver us from our afflictions and open our ears in the time of oppression.

Is my all on the Altar? The judgment of the wicked has been fulfilled; judgment and justice has taken hold of us because there is wrath in our hearts. If God does not take it away with a quick stroke we will perish. We hinder our own blessings with our ways. We must learn when the Devil presents himself to us how to recognize that spirit and cast it down with the Word. God has given us the weapons and tools to use against the enemy for he is already defeated when Christ died once on the Cross for our sins. When we give God our all on the Altar He in turn hear our cry and is quick to deliver us. God is the best teacher being that He is the Creator of all things.

Psalm 24:1-2 the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein; for He hath founded it upon the seas and established it upon the floods.

God does not care about what we have but rather what we do with what we have. He wants us to use what He has provided us to his glory. We are not to desire the night where sin is found for there we may be cut off from the Creator. We are not to regard iniquity in our hearts for the answer to our choices will be death. Afflictions we choose rather than saying yes to the Lord can not only take away our relationship with God but eternal life in hell with the Devil forever. God is to be exalted by his power; it’s nothing of us. It is God that teaches in us and through us that we teach like Him. Men are to behold the work of God when He is magnified. God’s work and His Word magnified will be seen of all men. God is great and we know Him not and we cannot number his years for they cannot be searched out. In the beginning, when is the beginning?

We cannot understand how the rain falls, when it falls or where it will fall. We have figured out how to watch the clouds and forecast the weather but even then God can change his mind and not allow it to fall. In the beginning the earth was without form and void; yet God made it a home for man. He determined in his heart that all the families of the earth would be blessed. There would be none like God for God is a Spirit and man could move around in the earth but could not touch, keep, or do anything. So God inquired of the earth to give up some of its dust that he may make a man to keep the earth. And the earth did what God asked; the earth gave up it’s all and all to God for his use. Everything in the earth praise and give reverence to God as it should; except the very thing He made in his image, man. What is wrong with us? God don’t want our dirt it already belongs to Him and do what He says. The dust was made a covering for God’s Spirit to reign in but man instead choose to serve the dirt or flesh as we call it.

Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 12:7 that the dust will return to the earth from whence it came and the Spirit will return to God from whence it came. Choose today who we will serve and leave our all on the Altar. Man causes the earth to be cursed. Jesus said if He be lifted up from the earth He would draw all men unto Him. God wants to be lifted up and glorified and we must be sanctified that our praise is glorious in God’s ears. We cannot live in pleasure all our days and expect to go to heaven when we die. It just isn’t done that way (bad English but you understand; it’s earthly). God has promised us blessings but because of the infidelity of the people is the curse come from heaven. We brought down this curse as the people of old times did. We have Jesus that has taken away the curse yet we yearn for it the more. Is our all on the Altar? God promised in Malachi 4:5-6 that Elijah (Jehovah is my God) the prophet that was taken up in a whirlwind to heaven would come again before the coming and dreadful day of the Lord. He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest God come and smite the earth with a curse.

We are our own worst enemy. No one can do us like we do ourselves. We do foolish and irreverent things and expect God to bless them. We have not given our all on the Altar. This Altar is our heart. We worry about things in the earth; what we should eat or drink, what we should wear on our bodies and where we can go party tonight. All of these things are of the flesh and flesh needs surrender to God today. Well what am I changed for? We need to turn our lives over to God. Walk in His ways and adhere to His Word. God says He is the Lord and he change not therefore we must condescend to Him. Isaiah said in Isaiah 55:6-7 to seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake His way and the unrighteous man his thoughts and let him return unto the Lord, and He will have mercy upon him and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. What more can we ask for? Our thoughts and ways can be changed today. Know that our thoughts and ways are not higher than heaven but is recorded in heaven and we must repent our thoughts and ways before we can go to heaven. God’s Word will prosper in the things God sent it to and He is sending it today. Is our all on the Altar?

Choose God today. Seek to please Him today. Draw near to Him. Take the way of the righteous today. Is our all on the Altar? God has revealed his righteousness and brought salvation to us; will we accept it today? If we lay hold of the Altar today and lay our burdens there God will come in and dwell in us. He will help our infirmities. We will no longer desire to pollute the earth and will keep our hands from evil. Catch hold of God and cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet and show God’s people their transgressions and the church their sin. It’s time to put our all on the Altar and don’t pick it up again. Delight to know the more of God, do righteousness and forsake not His ordinances and come before his presence with thanksgiving and praise. Bow our heads before Him. When we come to God right we can see Him as He is; we can go to the throne.

It’s time we lay at the Altar and gain some of God’s strength to do battle in this ungodly world we live in. It will take some diligence, steadfast endurance, and sacrifice on our part for God to use us. We have been chosen to loose the bands of wickedness; to undo the heavy burdens, to help the oppressed go free and that we break every yoke of the devil. We have to do more than feed the hungry and clothe the naked; we have to cover them and ourselves with the blood of Jesus daily. God’s hand is not too short that it cannot save and his ears; is not heavy where He cannot hear our cry. It is our iniquities that have separated us from God. Our sins have caused God to hide his face from us and He will not hear us when we come to Him unless it’s in repentance.

God whereas we have forsaken you with our ways; forgive us. Where we have shown hatred for you God in not doing your will and way forgive us. Where we have stood in the way of the sinner forgive us. Where we have put asunder in things we had no business, forgive us. When we went through you to get what we wanted and mistreated it forgive us. When we have loved other things than you have mercy upon us; forgive us. For all we know of and don’t know of forgive us. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and make us whole, renew a right Spirit in us and help us to carry on in your name only. Forgive all those that have trespassed against us. When we split that marriage up for our own selfish reasons we didn’t realize we put asunder with you; have mercy. When we cause the backslider to remain in that backsliden state we cursed you to your face. Is our own on the Altar?
