This is a picture I like you to see.
About the one who died for me.
Mary was the chosen one.
Whom God picked to have His son.
You see Mary never knew a man.
This was all part of His plan.
For He was born in Bethlehem.
The one who chose to be the lamb.
Angles gathered way up high.
To sing His praises in the sky.
They told the shepherds about a star.
Follow this it won’t be far.
You will meet the King this day.
Sleeping there upon the hay.
Wise men came to seek His face.
The one that will save the human race.
As He got older He started to teach.
That the Father was not out of reach.
There were twelve men that heard Him say.
Follow me for I am the way.
Then He began to heal the sick.
Some of the leaders thought it was a trick.
They didn’t believe that He was the Son.
Even after all of the things He had done.
They wanted His teaching to come to an end.
So they could be the ones who judges our sins
They took Him to Pilot, for him to see.
Who is this you bring before me?
This is Jesus we brought to you.
The one they call the King of the Jews.
Oh, you’re the one that is causing trouble.
Take Him out and beat Him double!
Bring Him back when you are through.
So we can see what the people will do.
They brought Him back with His eyes so dim.
The crowd yelled out to crucify Him.
They took Him up on Golgotha’s hill.
For this is where they had Him killed.
They hung Him upon a rugged cross.
That was the day that Satan lost.
The battle was over; it was through.
God had done what He set out to do.
The Lamb was slain so we could receive.
Eternal life for those who believe.
