DON’T BE TRASHY:


It seems like just a small thing - to litter a little as you drive or to put the trash in it’s place.

But the attitude is pervasive in so much of what we do: to be responsible or not to be responsible in life.

Do we act with no regard for consequences, as if it causes no problems and we expect someone else to fix it?

Do we do what we know is right, or do we fudge a little because no one will know who did it?

So much of society lives for instant answers – like cleaning the vehicle even if it litters the landscape.

So society gets “trashed’ because everyone seems to expect someone else to clean up the messes they create.

How infantile is that? Like, throw a temper tantrum and blame everyone else - take no responsibility for your actions!

I clean property next to a four-lane highway, and it is terrible how much Americans litter in a single week.

Will society ever grow up and take responsibility for the big AND the little things in life – things as small as littering?
