Dear Daddy,

You are my husband, my friend; you are my lover, my Father. I praise you Daddy for this love that you fill my heart with. Thank you for all the amazing things that you are doing and are yet to do. Thank you that you work through insecurities and that you are shaping something beautiful in my life. Thank you for helping me see that it’s not what I look like that you love about me. You have created beauty but that’s not WHY you cherish me. This is a broken girls revelation: You love me not because of what I do or how I look; you love me because you created me and always have loved me. In Psalm 139:14 David says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

How could YOU be enthralled by my beauty?

1 Peter 5:7- "Give all your worries and cares to God, for you cares for you."

Matt 6:28-29 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

Every woman longs to be noticed, the beauty, belle of the ball. Although some say and act otherwise it is truth that God designed us with a longing to be desired and loved. Women need to be considered enthralling, which is a part of God’s design for humankind. However, when we are not pursuing God with all our hearts motives can become distorted.
We may run to the gifts as opposed to seeking the adoration of the Giver, our Creator. Attention we may seek can come in the form of being held in the arms of another, even giving away precious parts of our purity to feel loved. Intimacy is such a wonderful thing; when it is sought at the right time. Song of Solomon 8:4 says, “Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.” He only gives us this command because He loves us.
The best time for us to be involved in relationship is something He takes into account. He knows us and cares about us, He truly loves us!

Keep in mind that our God is a jealous God; and we cannot serve two masters.

Deut 5:9- "You must not bow down to them of worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God will not tolerate your affection for any other gods."

Deut 4:24- The Lord your God is a devouring fire; He is a jealous God.

Luke 16:13- "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

(Even though this passage is referring to money; I believe the same can be said for any idols we may hold in our lives, including human relationships over our relationship with God.)

If intimacy is reached for in desperate attempt to fill a void inside, our souls reap devastating effects. Men will never complete the craving for love we as women have. Are you looking forward to marriage? I know that I am! However, within this period of my life I have been discovering that all good gifts come from God, including singleness. Singleness can be spent discovering just how much of the void He can fill. (All of it!) Never have I felt as beautiful when I am spending time with Him and soaking in His truths. He says in Psalm 45: 10,“ Oh, listen to me royal daughter; take to heart what I say. Forget your people and your father’s house. The king in enthralled by your beauty; honor Him for He is your lord.”
I can’t remember any earthly guy sweet talking me like that! Nor would I want him to; God is the only one who knows your beauty to full extent.

Men, you should appreciate these truths being shared with us gals. If the ladies in your lives have a solid relationship with our God and acknowledge His love for them your life will be made much simpler. Imagine falling in love with a woman who knows she is beautiful and beloved. She knows full well that she is secure in her Father’s love; you will not feel pressure to constantly be reassuring her of this. Of course letting her know how precious she is to you and beautiful God has made her is important.
Your compliments will be accepted and appreciated but she is secure in God; her self worth is found before the Father. She trusts you but doesn't lean full dependence on you, she is secure in your abillities but even more solid in knowing that God has her back.
She is then a friend and not a chore; she is not an obligation.
God’s design is wonderful isn’t it?

Wait for a gal like this.. Girls, wait for a man who loves God even more than he loves you, it will be worth it!
