When the winds of trials
And dark clouds of despair
Come raging into my life
And I feel torn beyond repair.
When the sea of grief
And great waves of sorrow
Threaten to overcome me
And I see no light for tomorrow.

Jesus is my refuge and strength,
The wind and sea obey His voice.
He is the peace in the midst of my storm.
When I put my faith and trust in Him.

Just as the disciples
Out on the stormy sea
Saw their need of Jesus
“Master, save us was their plea”
I cannot do it on my own
I need to come to Him in prayer,
Let Him calm the storms within
And rest in His loving care.

Jesus is my refuge and strength
The wind and sea obey His voice
He is the peace in the midst of my storm
When I put my faith and trust in Him.

After the storm clouds roll away
And the sea is calm again
The sun comes shining through
And dries up all the rain.
A beautiful and glorious rainbow
In the sky above
Gives us a golden promise
Of His everlasting love.
