During what is commonly called Holy Week many things of enormous historical, prophetical and soteriological import take place and due to this just as many practical truths are overlooked. Note:

Matthew 21:2 "Saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me. 3 And if any man say ought unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them."

Mark adds that the colt had never been ridden. I noted that Christ tamed the wild colt and he can tame untamed men and women. We who serve Him must get back to the literal truth of His taming power.

A few weeks ago a pastor friend called and said that as soon as he could get a man in his town sober he was going to bring the man to church with him. I looked back at the church that had the most lasting impact on me in the early days of my conversion and I recalled witnessing several men and few women walking, some with help from others, coming into church while they were drunk. Upon hearing the gospel these humans who had entered in a state of inebriation, left stone cold sober.

I am a proponent of getting folks to the Lord Jesus as they are. He will change them.
