Salvation Come Gently

My spirit arises
A new day is come
The darkness flees softly
My soul is reborn
Regrets of the past
On this day are gone

Salvation come gently
With rest for my soul
Wash me, cleanse me
From sins untold
Ease my heart
As my tears unfold

Show me your beauty
And all that within me
Bless me with your warm caress
Whisper with words of tenderness
For I am a sinner deserving of none
Yet your mercy for me is never gone

Salvation come gently
My mind is at ease
Sweet words of my Savior
Drift without cease
With great promises
Told of salvation for me
