Evil Is As Evil Does

An offering is that which is offered, specifically, that which is presented in divine service; a gift offered, with some symbolic intent to a deity; a sacrifice, and oblation. God created man to the praise of His glory. We were created to offer God praise when the heavens were shook up with the takeover efforts of Lucifer. Lucifer came before the Lord with the intent of a takeover. Lucifer came before God with a praise that was far from his heart. He was envious of God’s position and tried to hide it but God being the all-knowing God knew of his evil. Lucifer was a Devil meaning he was a prince and ruler of evil spirits. Evil is developed over a process of time. Some plan and execution of that plan takes place.

Psalm 35:12 they rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

Psalm 109:5 and they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

Proverbs 17:13 whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.

Saul returned evil to David for the good that David had done for him and the people of Israel. David in turn returned evil to Uriah for the good he did for David and the people of Israel. Saul tried to take David’s life but David had a covering of God’s anointing upon his life. God had purpose for David so he could not die at the time. Uriah served on the front line of the army and David took advantage of that and had Uriah murdered. He did not think it was evil but it was in the eyes of God. We have been deceived to at times when we thought we were doing what was right but all for the wrong motives. Evil is as evil does. Our action denotes sometime a cover up of what we really feel or think. God said to not look on the surface but to look farther beneath and we will find the true heart of a person. What kind of offering do we bring to God?

We can’t bring God an offering of sacrifice and praise and our heart is not right with God and man. Lucifer, now called Satan after he was kicked out of heaven was envious, covetous, resentful, desiring, wishful, greedy, and jealous of God. He begrudged, coveted, and craved God’s throne. He was in heaven, how could he entertain the very thought in his spirit to overthrow the throne? Now not only did he get himself kicked out of heaven but a third of the angels was engulfed in his tail and went with him. Satan never goes anywhere alone; when we allow him in our life he brings other baggage with him. When he comes in he brings company with him. Any place God manifests his presence Satan will come there to challenge God’s authority. He will not let us be in peace with God; he wants our souls. He is evil and evil does what evil is.

When a house has been cleaned and garnished its fresh, desirable to come into, well adapted for conversation, meditation and prayer, storing of the Word and its Satan’s job to upset our happy homes. The house and home I am talking about is the heart and body of man that have confessed the Lord Jesus, accepted Him as their personal savior, and seeking a closer walk with God. They have been birth of God’s Spirit and have begun to build on the rock of the Word. We can allow our bodies to be the house of God or be the grave of Satan. We as the people of God, the Saints or Christians have an inheritance of eternal life; but Satan have a judgment date, he and his angels that was kicked out of heaven with him. Heaven too was clean but Lucifer polluted it with evil. We too are warned that we are not to covet our neighbor’s house. David did it and now he has realized that he was wrong and not only that but evil. He had done that which was not good. We are not exempt from thinking or doing evil. David exhorted the people and princes to give God glory in Psalm 29:1-2.

Although David’s confidence was in God he still did not realize how wrong he was until Psalm 51 when he prayed for the remission of sins. He prayed for sanctification and mercy. He realized that although he was gifted and loved God he had to die to the flesh and its pleasures. We have to take God’s covenant in our mouth, heart, soul, spirit and body. God has to rule all of us; our whole total being is because of Him. Our total being is of Him and for Him. It’s time to turn our depravity over to God. We have to pray out of this flesh for the spirit of man was first after God.

Evil is as evil does. We are evil; Jesus told us to go and we refuse to go on the corners, the highways, and hedges and compel men to come to Christ. In Mark 4:1-2 Jesus went, traveled and taught the people and compelled them to give their lives to God. Jesus too had to be tested; He was according to Matthew 4:1-2 led of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the Devil. The Devil is a coward that we bow down to when we doubt if God is God and if He will deliver us or not. Jesus rejected Satan’s offer of the world, money, power and lusts. We too must reject all that the world has to offer. The bugar bear do come but we have to stand on the Word. Why don’t we stand on the Word? We don’t know what the Word says! We are lazy and think we have arrived. Satan has set us in temples made by hand and we get comfortable and forget what we have been commanded to do. After Satan have used us for so long he wraps his loving arms around us and then he come in with the kill; in hell we will lift up our eyes at the day of judgment when Satan will reign.

Evil is as evil does. If we will not Live for Christ then we are Evil for the Devil. Loose the Devil from our lives and get on the right boat. Jesus went and commands us to go. We are no greater than the one we follow and love. If we love Christ then we will too be led to trouble sometime and other times we bring trouble to us. Nothing from nothing leaves; nothing. If we don’t build a place in God’s Kingdom well we aren’t going there either. Wake up; it is evil to only think of you and yours. To them that repents and keep their confession before them every day and desires the Lord to keep them that they may seek after him and dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of our lives. We are to behold the beauty of the Lord and enquire in His Temple daily. For in the time of evil God will hide us in his pavilion in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide us. Forsake evil and do good, seek the Lord and find his way. The Lord is our strength and shield our hearts should trust in Him.

The Lord is our strength and He is our saving strength because we are His anointed. Without God we will fail. If we become a reproach to God and repent not of our iniquities we are forgotten as a dead man out of our mind and become like a broken testament or vessel.

Evil is as evil does; evil casts us into the hands of the enemy, it brings trouble, causes us to slander our neighbor, makes us hate when we are to love, lie when truth is of God, it pulls us into a net we can’t get out on our own and it makes us envious, jealous of our neighbor, and separates us from our Creator.
