Have you ever felt like you are the proverbial third wheel, the odd man out in a click of two that doesn’t make you feel welcome? It’s terrible to be rejected, left out in the cold to not feel worthy enough to be apart of the so called “in crowd”. But there is a family just waiting for you. Jesus makes an amazing invitation in Luke 10:22 when He says “All things have been given to Me by My Father, and no one really knows me (the son of God) but Him. I know God, but so can those I’m willing to show Him to.” Could that be you my friend? Have you accepted Jesus as your personal Savior and asked Him to forgive your sins so you can know God as papa.

In this scripture Jesus is telling you He’ll not only introduce you to His Father in Heaven, but He’s made a way for you to be adopted into the family of God. Ephesians 1:5 tells us “In love God predestined us to be adopted as His sons and daughters through Jesus Christ, according to His pleasure and will.” As a natural-born child to my own parents, I remember how excited I was when we adopted my kid sister into the family. How much more over-joyed is Jesus as He waits for you to call on Him. “If you knock, the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

This verse in Matthew 7:7 not only gives you a place at His table, but the keys to His Kingdom. Matthew 16:19 says “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." You see, you’re not just a prince and princess in name only, He’s given you all authority through Jesus Christ to step out in power to proclaim the message of freedom to those lost to the Love of our Lord. Wouldn’t it be nice not to have to deal with being a third wheel. In the Kingdom, there’s always you and God which makes you the apple of His eye.
