One of the grand truths of faith in Christ is that the power of the resurrection exudes from near every thought of true Christian faith. Knowing this truth has made many a dark night merely an opportunity for me to see God's starry heaven more clearly.

For instance take a gander at this true statement from a man most who believe the scripture disagree with. "The story of the human race is the story of men and women selling themselves short." Abraham Maslow said this and it is true. Selling ourselves short was the nexus Satan used to cause Eve to think God was withholding some good thing from her and you know the rest of the story. That idea that somehow we can use a crystal, a deck of cards or some magic to control God is still lying in the human heart.

On the other hand Christians are into the same idea. Just tune to Christian TV or Radio and you soon get the manipulation of the same Satanic idea, there is power out there to accomplish your will, your dreams. A false power is promised to enable you to achieve your dreams. The genuine power of the Holy Spirit is freely given to enable believers to do God's will. It seems like a small difference, but the difference is worlds apart.

If you are weary of the course your life is taking, prayerfully discover God's will for you and trust His enabling power to do it.
