Commitment to Marriage



Marriage can be hard work

sometimes even a chore

A blending of differences

For some perhaps a bore



Words either said or not

Can equally cause pain

Outlooks can become bleak

battles create strain



life has its ups and downs

with many shades of blue

Do not label it a mistake

Wait and see it through



Remember commitments made

for better or for worse

By design time to leave is

chauffeured in a hearse



Love which once was quenched

can rekindle and soar high

Anything can be possible

If both will only try



Many times marriages can fail

from things no longer done

Those which drew each together

When both were having fun



It can be happily ever after

with hard work and prayer

If two live out their promise

To make the journey there
