Seeking Content

Searching for much greener grass
Not glancing at the hourglass
Ignoring how time can pass
As falling sand does mass

Passing by and racing through
Pondering assets to accrue
Looking until feeling blue
For what is in plain view

Working hard at it every day
Traveling near and far away
Hoping dividends will pay
For time one will betray

Always seeking a better deal
taste buds water with appeal
Until father time does steal
The gift one cannot repeal

Desperately seeking content
Like a bloodhound on a scent
Hindsight surmises the event
It was not time well spent
