I want you to know that I appreciate you so
And the song you wrote for me, was a piece of your soul
I believe what you say and watch you unfold
The friendship I found in you is one so real
I often pinch myself and wonder how you feel
Is this a dream or just two people meant to be?
Like you said, put it all in God's hands, and we shall see
If our Lord Almighty created me for you, a strong young man
I will surely trust in our Lord's perfect plan
For if He created you for me, a strong young lady
In my busy mind, I entertain a maybe.....
But to rush this possibility, would surely lead to stress
Let us keep our focus on Him, and know that He will bless
The Author of our Life and Finisher of our Faith, goes far beyond our request
He is so patient and faithful,please know He only wants the best
For us, and all His children, He lovingly takes care
So let us be ever cautious and always be aware
Of the things which so greatly deceive us and taint our minds with lies
The flesh we now live in is at a constant discord and tries
To confuse us with,"is this just passion? or is this true love?"
Then we come back to our senses and return to our Father above
This relationship we so desperately seek seems so natural and needed
We now bring this to You Lord, we have finally heeded
The desires of our flesh, we submit to Your great guidance and authority
Because we surely know that Your will obtains ultimate seniority
So to you my close friend, and I do hope for more
I stand firm on my Rock, and pray one day, we soar
