I want to talk to you about the God with whom you have to do, the God of creation, the God who created you. That's right. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. (John 1:1) That's Jesus the Christ, the second person of the Godhead.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1) God created the heavens and the earth. That means he created you. He created everything but the problem is man was put through a test and he failed that test.

Man sinned.

In the garden he was put in a perfect environment but he sinned and he sinned against God and he said "You shall die when you sin" and that's exactly what happened.

Man died and he believed the lie of Satan so we know for "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). That's man's fundamental problem and he's going to die.

The question is, Are you afraid of death?

Are you afraid of death sir?

Mame, are you afraid of death?


You can be honest because we're all afraid to die because it's a dimension that we've never experienced.

Now once...no not everybody is going to heaven. Very few people are going to heaven sir. You're a liar because you are of your father the Devil.

Now listen to me. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. None seek God no not one. We've all gone astray. We've all gone away from God (Romans 3:10-12) but Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, so loved the world that he gave himself that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

If you recognize you're a sinner you can be saved. It doesn't matter what college you went to. It doesn't matter if you went to Yale or Harvard or Princeton, those Ivy League colleges. It doesn't matter whether you went to UCLA or USC.

It doesn't matter whether you're a graduate of high school or a non graduate of high school, whether rich or poor, a Democrat or a Republican. It doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter what background you come from. You can be saved tonight if you recognize you're a sinner and in need of God's grace. "For by grace are you saved, through faith and that not of yourselves; It's a gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8,9.

Oh, praise God that salvation is still here. It's still the day of mercy folks. It's still the day of mercy and you're going to have to answer to God some day. So I encourage you to seek God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33.

You see your heavenly father he knows you have need of all these earthly things like food and clothing. Food and clothing...that's all we really need Paul said. With food and clothing to be content. 1 Timothy 6:8. We're not even guaranteed shelter.

I'm homeless right now believe it or not but God provides for me okay? But what we really need...what we really need is eternal life and Jesus said come unto me all ye that labor and are of heavy laden and I will give you rest.
Do you recognize that need?

Are you hungering and thirsting after righteousness? You see we don't have any righteousness that's going to get us to heaven. Our own righteousness is as filthy rags. (Isa. 64:6)because by the deeds of the law shall nobody be justified. Romans 3:20

We need the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We need the faith of Jesus Christ. People think they can get to heaven on their own. They can't. There's no way. God will not accept you on your own. You're not good enough. None of us are good enough of ourselves.

We need the mercy of God. We need to be cleansed from above. We need to be washed from our filthiness and our sins and you by nature are DEAD, spiritually DEAD and you will die physically also as a result of the penalty. Titus 3:6; Eph. 2:1

You will go into the grave. Six feet down into the ground. Everybody must die folks. Heb. 9:27. It's a dreadful thing. If you love life you should love Jesus Christ because he said, "I am the way, the truth and the life; nobody comes unto the Father but by me." John 14:6

There's many ways that seem right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25; 14:20.

Which way are you going gentleman? Young lady which way are you traveling? Are you going the way of death or are you going in the way to eternal life through Jesus Christ?
