Say the words
My mind wants to hear.
My soul is longing to hold
My heart awaits a reply.

Say the words
Today love calls in a distinct way.
Let not this day pass by
Without uttering the soulful words.

Say the words
Don’t allow me to turn away
When one is hurt, the other is hurt as well.
Come after me and call my name
Bring me gently back
The time at hand is so precious.

Say the words
Enclosed for so long in the heart bearer.
The waiting has been too long.
The time has come at last
Sway the heart and let the lyrics flow out.

Say the words
Bend the rules, break the barricades.
When you speak, I will listen
When I say, you will gently hear.

Say the words
If I am close by, whisper it into my ears
If I am far away, say it from afar
The breeze will carry the sweet words into my heart.

Say the words
It is the need of the hour.
Seal this momentous day
With the loving words; “I Love you.”
