I was created to behold.
I have beheld the face of shame,
I have beheld the face of insecurity,
I have beheld the face of addiction,
I have beheld the face of immorality,
I have beheld the face of judgment,
I have beheld the face of hate.
I became the very darkness I beheld.
I was created to behold.
The things I behold I become,
These things can leave me lonesome.
The things I behold can leave me empty.
I sit before love and behold it's power.
The love of a savior overflows.
The images I once beheld seem to fade away.
As I sit and behold the One in whom I was created to behold.
His light shine's on my face,
Blessing me in this place.
I was created to behold you!
Come near to me,
Take Your delight in me,
Dance over me God,
Sing a new song over me.
When I behold You life does not seem so hard,
When I behold You my heart is filled with life.
When I behold You I am changed from the inside.
Made in the very image of God,
Do I know what this means?
Created to be the very glory of God,
Do I understand this in the depth of my core?
He is my reward,
I am His glory.
He will be the end in the legacy of my story.
I behold God!
I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!
You see the pathway for my life,
An inner strength I feel starting to rise,
The power of Your Spirit I trust,
I behold God!
Your holiness changes me deep within,
Into the image I behold.
I behold the face of God!
