Grief

It took you so fast I barely had time to breathe.
I am trying to understand what this all means.
I long for one more conversation,
One more chance to see you free.
But I wait,
Wait upon the Lord for His strength.
I won't leave this place without His peace.
Peace of mind and rest in my soul,
Knowing that everything is in Gods' control.
I don't have fancy words,
Only sorrow do I hold.
I cry before the throne for the other five I know.
God show me Your ways,
Teach me Lord how to pray.
Pray into Your heart with Your understanding.
Understanding from heaven not from me.
Understanding we are made of dust and breath,
Your breath which is life.
To dust we return but you God care about all our hurting.
Holy Spirit come,
Comforter and healer.
Reveal Jesus to me in this place.
Heal my heart and bring me peace.
Step into this boat with me.
Show me who You are I sing,
To you my heart I bring.
You are good this is true!
My soul, my soul it sings.
All honor and praise to You this dust brings.
Not because I know what to say,
But because the faith You placed inside of me,
causes me to stay.
Stay in this place of mystery,
to search You out completely.
Stay in this place of wonder,
that I may know You as healer.
In Your presence I belong,
My soul awaits a new song,
A song of redemption,
A song of love,
A song out of my weakness,
as I am enlightened to my desperation for You!
