1 Peter 2:19-20; NKJV:
"For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God."
Favor of God is upon us when a person is treated unfairly because of their walk with God, and accepts his poor treatment with complete faith that God's compassion will prevail. It is better to do this than to react in fury, rage, or resentment. It is natural to want to "act out or react" when we feel we are being mistreated, but Peter is saying that it is more commendable to endure the grief, and turn it over to God (and trust and believe that He will see you through it).
