The Fall color was beautiful in the Ozark Mountains in and around
Branson, but the mountain curves were so sharp that you start
blowing your horn at your own taillights.

We are all products of our environment while growing up. I grew
up in a musical family -- my Dad played Piano, Flute and
Marimba. To show you how smart I am, I chose to play the
Marimba instead of the Flute -- have you ever moved a Marimba?

Our cat, Tigger, has grown up in a musical family. Someday I fully
expect him to let go with a full chorus of Meowee in the key of E
flat. I'm amazed how he can sleep right through while Betty
practices the organ (yes, it's an Allen, of course).

Your growth environment has helped to form your life, maybe in
ways you don't even realize. Hopefully, most of us grew up in the
environment of a Christian home. Betty and I did, and it certainly
helped to move our lives in the right direction. Some of you
haven't had that advantage, and God had to reach down in love and
find you through other resources.

However God found you -- be eternally grateful. Have you thought
of how different you might be if God hadn't saved you? Psalm
7:17 (nlt), "I will thank the Lord because He is just. I will sing
praise to the name of the Lord Most High." Always be grateful for
the life you have in Christ.
