He Will Be There

His love abounds for you
To comfort and placate
When life is dreary and painful
He will always be there to help

Through storms and torrent seas
Through ice and fiery blazes
He will be there to shelter
Lighting the road ahead

When persecution rains
And the lash rips the flesh
The pain too much to handle
Know He will be there
Softening every blow

When those you love are hurt or ill
Where healing seems a distant shadow
Their painful tears pierce through your heart
Know He is beside them
His healing hand there

When your pockets are empty
The cupboards are bare
And you wonder how to feed your family
Know that He is there
Providing your every need

When you feel that you’re deserted
With no one to lend an ear
Alone in your sorrow and misery
Know that He is there
Listening and answering your every care

When you believe in His great love
And the promises that He made
You will never need to worry
About tomorrow or the days ahead
He will be there just as He promised
So place your trust Him
Jesus Christ the King
