Now the troubles won't last all the time
there will soon come a break
Though the rivers of life is raging right now
God knows how much, we can take

Oh the waters do seem to overflow
not slowing up at all
And from a sigh within, doesn't help one bit
as I watched the waves get tall

Now there was no one, giving out free tea
so the thing to do is hang with it
And stay prayerful each day, it will be ok"
also to keep your lanterns lit

Our God has promised us some better days
even if the suffering we may endure
But, look on the bright side, they will come
He's the same, yesterday and forever more

You see God does know our extremities
and our every breaking point
But we will come through, with flying colors
so I can't afford to get bent out of joint

He is faithful to his every word
for a day with him is as thousand years
So lets be thankful and just wait it out
for he will bottle all our tears
