So still and quiet, while in the storm
trying hard to let patience abide
Setting with a calmness, within my heart
while the storms raging, forcefully outside
Lighting, clashing, through my windows
rain pouring down, in heavy drops
But my spirit still is peaceful and happy
though it seems like, the rain never stops
So be the trials and tests we bear
when they come in like a storm at times
Crashing in, like the winds and rain
trying to upset our peaceful minds
Then it's like everything, is put on hold
while going through our stormy test
Really all we can do, is to just stand still
and lean on God, to give us, needed rest
Then after we have quietly sat
waiting it out, until it was through
We breath a sigh! Knowing he's on the way by
to give to us, all that is due
Then I welcomed the storm with an understanding
and I did accept it by the grace of God
In knowing that nothing lasts forever
and soon one day it will pass on by
Can we praise him in the midst of the storm
can we rest and see it, on through
Will we see that God, is in there with us
even when we don't know what to do
Will we hold our questions and wait it out
and know the answer is on it's way
Can we settle down and keep the faith
and believe our deliverance will come one day
Though the clouds, be filled of rain
and lighting, clashing here and there
And the roaring of thunder, rummbling over head
God is in control of our every affair
So find your setting place in the storm
and don't worry if it's day or night
Just be still and know, that it will end
and every wrong, God will make, it right
